Christmas Cinnamon Rolls

- Combine 1 pkg of yeast, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 cups lukewarm water and 1 1/2 cup of flour together.
- Cover and raise until bubbly.
- Cream 3/4 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cup shortening, 1 or 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon salt together. Add to the first mixture then add 2 cups of flour.
- Cover and raise until double in size.
- Add enough flour to handle – knead.
- Roll dough out oblong.
- Cover with butter.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. **add nuts and raisins if you like
- Roll, slice and place in a greased pan.
- Raise for a half hour.
- Bake at 425 degrees for about 8 minutes.
